HR Officer

When I saw the vacancy for HR Officer with a passion for Recruitment, I immediately thought: that’s me!

“The best part of my job? That I can truly make a difference.”

For me, HR is about more than just getting processes right. I want to be a go-to person and trusted advisor for employees, support managers, and contribute to a work environment where people feel comfortable and can develop professionally.

Taking HR to the next level

At the moment, I’m working on further automating HR processes, strengthening our employer brand, and continuously improving our performance and development cycles.

The implementation of our new HR system is a great example. I helped shape this project, aligned it across the organization, and guided it through to go-live. The result now provides more structure and clarity, so colleagues know what to expect and get support more quickly. Those are the kinds of projects that give me energy.

Connection and trust

What makes Royal van der Leun special is the level of involvement. Colleagues are eager to move forward and actively contribute ideas. By connecting people and having open conversations, trust is built. And that’s exactly what is essential in HR.

I also continue to grow in my own development. This year, I’m starting a course in employment law and a training in conversational skills. I want to deepen my role and grow into a more advisory HR position where I can contribute even more to the organization.

Turning ideas into concrete improvements

What gives me energy is not only seeing where we can grow, but also being able to set things in motion together with my colleagues. Turning ideas into concrete improvements and bringing people along in that process.

The crowning achievement of my work is that every day I get to contribute to improving the organization in the field of HR, while being given the opportunities and trust to do so.
