Meet us at the National Career Fair
Do you dream of a career in the world of yachting? At the National Career Fair, we’d love to tell you how you can help create high-end electrical installations on board the most beautiful superyachts in the world.
Yesterday and today we introduced the youth to our passion: bringing ships and buildings to life.
During the STO Experience Days in Zwijndrecht at Loket, students could participate in all kinds of fun and educational activities from different companies and thus get acquainted with working life and the world of technology in an interactive way.
With us they were allowed to wire an electrical circuit. They learned from Ronald Visser, Heidi Heemskerk, Falco Ebelties and Wesley Bakker how to read a technical drawing and how to light the light with only wires and a screwdriver.
As a reward, they were given the real Royal van der Leun screwdriver – because let's face it, it comes in handy often enough and guarantees beautiful work!
We wish all students a successful school period and hope to see them back in the field later, tinkering with the most beautiful projects!

Twenty-six years ago, Wilma started at Royal Van der Leun with a job application. Handwritten with pen and paper, as was still quite common at the time. The fact that she is still working here and still enjoys her profession says it all.
We are proud to contribute to a truly iconic project: the renovation and electrification of the Queen Emma Bridge in Willemstad, Curaçao. An UNESCO World Heritage landmark also known as the Swinging Old Lady or as we call it, the “pontjesbrug”.
