Royal Van der Leun at the Baggerfestival 2025
From Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 6, Sliedrecht celebrated the fifteenth edition of the Baggerfestival. Four days of music, technology, water spectacles, and a strong focus on the future of the maritime sector.
Royal Van der Leun was proud to join the company promenade, showcasing our electrical solutions for the maritime industry. Amid live music, food trucks, and impressive vessels, there was plenty of interest in innovation and technology, exactly where our passion lies.
This year’s festival placed special emphasis on talent development. Schoolchildren explored the world of technology through workshops, demonstrations, and interactive zones. Visitors also enjoyed a festival first, a giant Ferris wheel offering stunning views over the Merwede River and the historic ships in the harbor.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, partners, and sponsors, the festival ran smoothly. Sliedrecht once again proved why we’re proud of our maritime heritage. We look back on a successful event full of connection, innovation, and fun, and look forward to the next edition.
