In June, Van der Leun took part in the company volleyball and football tournaments in Sliedrecht. During these annual tournaments for company teams, the focus was not only on sporting competition, but above all on fun, teamwork and enjoying time with colleagues.
Van der Leun was represented by no fewer than two volleyball teams: a mixed team and a men’s team. Both teams enthusiastically took on the challenge and played several matches against other companies from the region. One football team represented Van der Leun on the football pitch.
Although we did not take home any prizes this year, we can look back on two very successful tournaments. Our football team finished third in their group! There was plenty of energy on the field, every point was hard earned and, most importantly, there was a lot of laughter. Supporters cheered from the sidelines, teammates worked together on the field, and in between matches there was plenty of time to catch up with colleagues.
In the end, these company tournaments are about more than just winning. They are a great opportunity to get to know colleagues in a different way, stay active together and strengthen team spirit. We would like to thank all colleagues who took part and came along to cheer. Next year, we’ll be happy to return to the field, hopefully with just as much enthusiasm and maybe a few more wins.
