Back in 1920: The Harbor's Lightbulb Shop

In 1920, Jan Cornelis van der Leun opened his shop at the harbor of Sliedrecht. Radios and electric lighting were still new and remarkable at the time. What began with providing light and sound soon grew into creating solutions for the shipping industry and the emerging dredging sector.

That hands-on, problem-solving mentality is still at the heart of our work today.

Smart technology for complex challenges

Today, we work on projects around the world for the maritime, offshore, and industrial sectors. From electrical installations on ships to industrial electrical solutions and precision metalworking, we combine craftsmanship with innovation to help our clients achieve their goals.

Our three divisions work closely together, enabling us to respond quickly and deliver tailor-made solutions. Thanks to our international service network, we are available 24/7 to support our clients, wherever they are.

Sustainably moving forward

With more than a century of experience, we know that technology never stands still. That’s why we continually invest in new technologies, sustainable energy solutions, and smart systems that contribute to the energy transition. This way, we help our clients work future-proof without compromising on reliability or safety.

Our story began in a small harbor town, but our focus has always been on the road ahead. We’ve been doing that since 1920, and we will continue to do so for the challenges of tomorrow.
