Every year, Royal Van der Leun supports Orange the World, a global campaign to end violence against women and girls. As part of the movement, people worldwide are encouraged to wear orange to make a statement from 25 November – 10 December.

This year the global campaign aims to take action against online harrassment, while the dutch campaign aims to mobilise municipalities to firmly anchor action against violence in local policy.

Nearly half of the world's women and girls—1.8 billion—have no legal protection from digital violence.

The risks women and girls face online have increased as laws have failed to keep pace as cyberstalking and AI-driven deepfakes escalate.

This is unacceptable.

This year's global campaign for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence demands urgent action for all women and girls:

  • Close legal gaps
  • Hold perpetrators and tech platforms accountable
  • Demand a world where technology serves equality—not harm
