What is the highlight of your work as Manager Hardware Engineering?

In this position, you are responsible for leading, coaching and motivating the Hardware Engineering department. The department consists of approximately 20 employees who design maritime electrical installations for various types of vessels. You ensure that the work runs smoothly, that the right priorities are set, and that the quality of our designs and systems is always guaranteed. You also monitor the progress of all engineering projects.

In addition, you contribute to the further development of work processes and methodologies within the department, together with the Manager Process, Quality & Data Control. You have a sharp eye for improvement and know where efficiency can be gained. Together with the Project Management, Supply Chain departments and the management team, you regularly consult on strategic direction and operational decisions. You are also responsible for international planning and reserving capacity. You are the connecting factor who ensures that technology, organisation and customer interests remain in balance.

This is what you bring:
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Engineering;

  • Extensive experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in the maritime industry;

  • Knowledge of maritime installations and relevant regulations (Bureau Veritas, Lloyds, CCS);

  • Experience with AutoCAD and SEE Electrical (or E-Plan);

  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

  • Depending on your knowledge and experience, you will receive an attractive salary between € 5,600 and € 6,700 gross per month based on full-time employment. This will be discussed with you at an early stage;

  • We work under the Collective Labour Agreement for the Metal and Engineering Sector (CAO Metaal en Techniek);

  • 25 vacation days based on full-time employment;

  • 13 ADV days (reduction of working hours) based on full-time employment;

  • You will be enrolled in the Pension Fund for the Metal and Engineering Sector;

  • Travel allowance of € 0.23 per km;

  • Reimbursement of training costs through our training budget;
