What is the highlight of your work as Hardware Engineer?
As a Hardware Engineer you design maritime electrical installations according to the hardware specifications and wishes of the client. In addition to designing switchboards, distribution panels and control consoles, your work also includes designing systems such as fire detection, intercom and CCTV installations. You switch effortlessly between your colleagues in panel building and the field service.
You are functionally managed by the Lead Engineer and report to the Technical Manager. The Engineering department consists of 20 colleagues. You will also have regular contact with our international colleagues in, among others, Brazil, Vietnam and China.
This is what you bring:

Preferably a completed MBO (vocational) education in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;

5+ years of relevant work experience as Hardware Engineer within the maritime sector;

Experience in designing electrical ship installations;

Experience with industry-related software such as AutoCAD and SEE Electrical (or E-Plan);
-
You are able to read drawings and schematics;

Some knowledge of standards and regulations such as Bureau Veritas, Lloyds and CCS;

Knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written;
Furthermore

You are available for at least 32 hours per week;

You have a customer-oriented mindset;

You have strong problem-solving skills and show plenty of initiative;

And you possess a strong sense of responsibility;

Depending on your experience, you will receive an attractive salary between € 3,900 and € 4,600 gross per month based on full-time employment. This will be discussed with you at an early stage;

We work under the Collective Labour Agreement for the Metal and Engineering Sector (CAO Metaal en Techniek);

25 vacation days based on full-time employment;

13 ADV days (reduction of working hours) based on full-time employment;

You will be enrolled in the Pension Fund for the Metal and Engineering Sector;

Travel allowance of € 0.23 per km;
