Quality in Your Work
Delivering a high-quality product is something I find very important. For me, quality and a satisfied customer are the top priorities.

Technical Masterpieces
I’m most proud of our latest major project: the DN2500, a pipe with a diameter of 2.5 meters. Those kinds of projects are truly amazing to work on. We had to adjust everything—the roller beds, the plates had to be widened… I just stood there watching, thinking, this thing is gigantic!
And as for future projects? We’ll see what comes our way, but I’d love to take on more of these exciting challenges!
Quality Over Quantity
At my previous job, the work culture was completely different. The pressure was intense, and everything had to be done as quickly as possible. There was much less focus on the people. Luckily, things are different here, and I really appreciate that.
The working atmosphere at Royal Van der Leun is great. Of course, you need to keep up the pace, but in a way that feels good. Collaboration with colleagues runs smoothly, and for me, it’s important that we work together to deliver real quality.
Room to Grow
I started out in the Electrical Team, working on board ships. I was responsible for metalwork—welding (cable) trays, welding strips, and I even got the opportunity to work abroad. At some point, someone in the Metal Department left, and I thought, I’d love to do that!
So, I took a welding course in the evenings, and that’s how I made the switch. Funny how things work out… I hardly use my electrical diploma anymore!
The freedom I have at Royal Van der Leun is something I’d never want to give up. They know what they have in you here. You can see that in the way we work together: Should I approach this one way or another? We discuss it as a team, and I learn from those conversations.
At Royal Van der Leun, your opinion is valued, and you’re encouraged to think along. Sure, things go wrong sometimes, but that’s when you need to get creative. I keep growing through the experiences I gain. You get that opportunity here because you’re not just a number—you’re a person. And mistakes? They’re just part of learning.
